The Books have Arrived

The books just arrived from the Publisher Wow! They look absolutely fantastic!!! Although the official release date is 9/1/07, Enalan Communications is offering a 20% discount off the $16.95 retail price of the book through its website www. elalan.com. In addition, Amazon.Com has the book available through preorder that will be released after September 1st. We have started receiving wonderful feedback from readers which has been greatly appreciated by our family. Some people have commented on the fact that the book is really a love story between Sue and me. Others feel that the Rachel’s miraculous struggle for survival, a family transformed by dealing with a special needs child or the voyage to China to bring Amy home is the most compelling. Some have commented that it is the blend of all of these things, coupled with humor and the lessons that have been learned is what they got out of the book. Sue and I hope that there is something interesting and valuable there for most everyone. We continue to look forward to our kickoff book signing at Books & Books on Sunday September 9th at 6pm and a significant number of book signing parties and lectures that will occurr over the next several months. The one thing that I am finding is that when autographing books, that my last name lends itself to writers cramp!
The girls are enjoying the rest of their summer and are not particularly looking forward to going back to school.
